Address Hair and Scalp Problems: Whether you have hair fall, dry ageing, and itchy scalp or flaking and dandruff, remember to address the root cause of your hair and scalp problems and get appropriate treatment option right away. You may also consult a dermatologist/physician who can advise you in these matters and help address underlying problems – for example, hair fall could be the result of flaky scalp or stress.

Nourish & Condition: Conditioning is very important for the health of the hair and goes a long way in ensuring healthy, frizz-free and lustrous hair on your D-Day. Also, avoid styling products that are loaded with chemicals to keep your hair healthy.

Avoid Heat Treatments: The consistent pressure to be looking your best can frequently succumb you to the use of styling tools such as hair dryers, hot rollers, flat irons or curling tongs which are not good for your locks, so try to ease off in the weeks leading up to your wedding. Heat styling can leave your hair frazzled, dry, damaged. If needed, use a heat protecting serum prior to such usage. Always towel dry your hair after shampooing.

Also, the treatment is very relaxing.

Eat healthy: Our hair is essentially made of a protein called keratin. When you don’t get enough, your hair can become brittle, weak, or dry. So eat foods that are rich in protein. Vitamin B is also a key ingredient for healthy hair. B vitamins boost hair elasticity and strong growth. If your hair is unusually dry, you may benefit from additional essential fatty acids (EFAs) in your diet. They help balance sebum production in the body. You can find it in chia seeds, flax seeds, hemp seeds.

Don’t Take Stress: Weddings can be stressful. A lot of brides tend to be anxious with a lead up unto their big day which causes irreversible damage to the hair. So just breathe and opt for some physical activity such as walking, jogging etc to get your mind off things. Also, you may want to try meditation and yoga to calm your nerves.

Prevent Hair Damages: As exhilarating it can be to do all that wedding shopping, continuous trips to parlor etc, it can really become the cause for your hair damage due to all the pollution, heat, dust.
